Annually, Jean Monnet Center of Excellence organizes academic conferences for international scholars and special section for young researchers. Scholars, young scientists, students from different regions of Russia and Europe are able to participate in the events, to present their research and discuss actual issues of EU and youth policy.
International Conference “Youth in Europe and Russia. Europe and European Union through the Eyes of Scholars”, 17-19 May 2018
17-19 May, 2018 Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence hold the final International Conference “Youth in Europe and Russia. Europe and European Union through the Eyes of Scholars”, which was devoted to European studies. Scientists, bachelor, master students, PhD students studying Youth, Youth Policy in EU countries participated in the event. The Conference gave an opportunity to summarize the results of Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence/ Centre of European Studies: Focus on Youth project and discuss possibilities for cooperation.

25-27 April, 2018 Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence hold a section on European Studies for bachelor, master and PhD students. The event was held on the basis of XIV All-Russian Scientific Conference “Problems of History, Archaeology, Political Science and Regional Studies” at Tomsk State University.

24-26 April, 2017 Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence hold an Internationa Conference “Youth of Europe and Russia”. The Event was held on the basis of XIII All-Russian Scientific Conference “Problems of History, International Relations and Documentation”.
Youth Scientific Conference 'Youth of Europe and Russia", 14-16 April, 2016
The first Youth Science Conference was organized at Tomsk State University on 14-16 April 2016. The event was the part of annual All-Russia conference for young scientists and students. There were about 20 participants from Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk, St.Petersburg and Altai universities. Within the conference a round table on “International Academic Mobility of students and young scientists” was organized. Participants received certificates.
Annually, Jean Monnet Center of Excellence organizes Summer or Winter Schools for students of various specializations and universities. It brings young people to learn about youth issues in Europe.
International WinterSchool “The European Union, The EAEU, and Russia: Current State”, 8-9 February, 2018
The School was organized by Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the Research Center of International Organizations and Networks. Experts, young scientists, bachelor, master and PhD students from Tomsk, Altai, Kemerovo, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ural, Tyumen, Irkutsk State Universities participated in the event. Also students from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated. The main topic was devoted to cooperation between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Community and Russian role in this cooperation.
International Summer School “Higher Education and Youth Academic Mobility in Contemporary Integration Processes”, 2-5 July, 2017
2-5 July 2017, Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organized an International Summer School “Higher Education and Youth Academic Mobility in Contemporary Integration Processes”. Students from Kemerovo,Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Irkutsk, Ekaterinburg, participated in the School. During the event participants not only got an opportunity to attend the lectures but also focus on the project activity.
International Summer School “Youth of Europe: Education, Job, Leisure”, 22-26 June, 2016
22-26 June, 2016 Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the Research Center of International Organizations and Networks held the first International Summer School “Youth of Europe: Education, Job, and Leisure” at Tomsk State university. The main topic of the event was European youth. Experts from St. Petersburg Higher School of Economic, MGIMO and Tomsk Administration were invited to the School. Also students and lecturers from Irkutsk, Barnaul, Kemerovo, Omsk, Kazakh and Kyrgyz’s universities participated.

Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organizes a series of webinars in order to present and discuss the issues of young people in Europe. In this case, experts and lecturers from European universities are invited to participate.
“Italy in the EU. The Big Crises Challenges”
March 11, 2016 Jean Monnet Center of Excellence organized a lecture of Professor Maurizio Cotta from the University of Siena, Italy, on the topic of “Italy in the EU. The Big Crises Challenges”. Professor Cotta is a Director of Centre for the Study of Political Change (CIRCaP), PhD in Political Science, European Politics and International Relations.

Kemerovo, Events devoted to 25th Anniversary of the Association for European Studies in Russia
19-21 April 2017, Series of events devoted to 25th anniversary of the Association for European Studies in Russia (AES) foundation were held, on the basis of Jean Monnet programme and in the framework of cooperation between Kemerovo and Tomsk State Universities. The goal of the Jean Monnet projects is to support universities’ initiatives on expanding teaching, scientific research and discussions in the sphere of European integration.
